This series of grain stories was created in collaboration with the rice brand Zihen. The tale is based on the myth of Ceres, the goddess of grain, whose daughter Core was abducted by Pluto, the king of the underworld. Grief-stricken, Ceres fell into despair, neglecting her duties as the goddess of agriculture. As a result, the crops withered, and famine spread across the land. To restore balance, Jupiter, the king of the gods, intervened, rescuing Core and bringing joy back to Ceres. With her heart healed, nature flourished once again, and the spirits rejoiced.
The creation of these grain spirits draws inspiration from this mythological narrative. Each spirit is associated with a specific grain, symbolizing their connection to the harvest. They dance, celebrating the abundance of the earth, and embody the gods' love for all living beings, highlighting the profound relationship between grains, nature, and life.
