Participatory Illustration

7.2023

We have silently accepted and created more "faces" every day, and then, silently, we wear them.  These faces become a part of us, and we don't necessarily reject them.  However, it is important to reflect on who we truly are beneath these layers.  This project encourages viewers to question their identities and the masks they wear.  At the exhibition, participants can use magnetic illustration fragments to piece together their own "multifaceted" persona, constructing a reflection of themselves through the various identities they adopt.

The project has undergone several iterations, with the participatory illustration continually evolving and being showcased in multiple offline exhibitions.  Through this ongoing exploration, the work invites the audience to reflect on the masks they wear and how these constructed identities shape their self-awareness and personal understanding.
