The daily commute often resembles being confined within “metal boxes,” as individuals are passively transported across urban space. The repetitive rhythm of the nine-to-five routine gradually erodes sensitivity, producing a sense of mechanization and emotional numbness. This study takes modes of transportation as both the observational entry point and the primary vehicle for visual expression, employing a series of screen-printed illustrations to externalize and concretize the negative psychological states associated with commuting.

In addition, the project integrates the design of a zine and handcrafted clay figures, expanding the work into multimodal forms that enhance immersive engagement. Through this constellation of media, the project aims to deepen viewers’ impressions and prompt reflection on the emotional realities and psychological implications embedded in the everyday experience of mobility.
